bridget, I don't think Greenfield was trying to "trash" Obama.
This is simply what happens when you get too "hot" too soon. Everyone wants a piece of Obama, but over a year out from Iowa, with nothing but vague hints and booktours, there just isn't that much to say yet.
this little story is reminder of how the democrat machine is missing the small cogs & wheels it needs in mainstream media (cable news is now mainstream)
no one reported that Senator McCain is now can dress like ho-chi min or was weakened by the normalization of trade with vietnam.
these little word link events add up, and a year ahead is not to soon to start smearing them around. for the conservative machine
